Role Overview

The Campaign Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of impactful human rights campaigns in Ghana. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong advocacy skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to mobilise diverse stakeholders to achieve meaningful change.

Working Relationships 

 
The Campaigns Coordinator will be supervised by the Head of Programmes and will report to the Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development: Design and implement evidence-based campaigns aligned with Amnesty International’s global and national priorities.
  • Advocacy & Lobbying: Engage policymakers, civil society, and media to influence legislation and policy reforms.
  • Research & Analysis: Collaborate with research teams to ensure campaigns are grounded in accurate and timely human rights data.
  • Mobilization & Outreach: Coordinate grassroots activism, digital campaigns, and public engagement initiatives.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Track campaign progress, assess impact, and produce periodic reports.
  • Partnership Building: Foster relationships with NGOs, community groups, and international partners to amplify campaign reach.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, Law, development studies, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in advocacy, campaigning, or human rights work.
  • Strong understanding of Ghana’s socio-political and human rights landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.
  • Proficiency in digital campaigning tools and social media strategies.
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of local languages is an asset).
