Role Overview
The Fundraising & Partnership Officer will lead the development and execution of innovative fundraising strategies to secure sustainable financial resources for Amnesty International Ghana. This role requires a proactive individual with strong networking skills, creativity, and the ability to build partnerships that advance our mission.
Working Relationships
The Fundraising & Partnership Officer will report to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with AI Ghana’s Strategic Framework 2026-2030.
- Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organizations.
- Proposal Writing & Grant Management: Prepare compelling funding proposals and manage grant compliance and reporting.
- Events & Campaigns: Organize fundraising events and digital campaigns to increase donor participation and revenue.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track fundraising performance, analyse trends, and produce periodic reports for management.
- Partnership Building: Collaborate with NGOs, businesses, and community groups to expand funding opportunities and realisation of our mission and vision.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Development Studies, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in fundraising, resource mobilization, or nonprofit development work.
- Strong understanding of donor engagement and fundraising best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to raise funds, manage budgets and timelines effectively.
- Proficiency in digital fundraising tools and social media strategies.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of local languages is an asset).
